Come join us again, our third year, for a unique, exciting and wonderful Christmas experience.
The Journey to Bethlehem is free to the public and everyone is invited. We have made it handicapped accessible, weather permitting.
The Crocker Christian Church is just outside of Crocker on the highway at the junction of 133 and 17. Look for our big lighted Bethlehem star and sign at the entrance and lights along the front of the church building.
This year, for three consecutive nights, from 6-9 p.m. nightly, December 12-13-14, ( Friday-Sat-Sun.), over 120 members of the Crocker Christian Church will participate in costume, acting out the wonderful pagentry and story of the birth of Christ.
Walking/guided tours leave approximately every 15 minutes and last for about a half hour. During your wait you will see a video and be entertained by carolers.
Tour groups of approximately 20 will experience life as it was over 2000 years ago.
Mounted Roman soldiers, angels and shepherds will regale you with lively
converstations as you pass livestock, bonfires and villagers. You will experience the entire story of the journey of Mary and Joseph, as a Jewish family on it's way to Bethlehem for the census.
An authentic Bethlehem marketplace, inn's (good and bad), and the manger scene are played out in detail. Along the journey you will be offered food and drink and end sharing
hot chocolate and homemade cookies together.
